70 West Fire Department reorganized into a Fire Protection District after a public election held in July 2019. Our department is operated by a Board of 7 Commissioners since our jurisdiction is located in two counties. While our Fire Chief is responsible for day-to-day operations and emergency operations our commissioners work with the Fire Chief, staff, and volunteers to grow our department for the future and see that there fiscally responsible oversight provided so that we can continue to provide the best of fire protection and rescue services for our very deserving community.

The 70 West Fire Protection District will hold their Annual Election Meeting on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Caruth-Hale Life Celebration Center at 2529 Airport Road, Hot Springs, AR near the intersection of S. Moore Road and Airport Road. Voting on this date will be at the Life Celebration Center starting at 5:00 PM followed by the meeting starting at 6:30 PM. We will be holding our Annual Election Meeting at a different Location, not at our main station this year due to limited space and parking! This year, we will be meeting at:
2529 Airport Road, Hot Springs, AR, USA
Voting on Tuesday December 9, 2025, will start at 5:00PM at the new meeting location. The Election meeting will start at 6:30PM.
